Anyways, this is his first short novel, and it is really something. The story takes place between Thanksgiving and New Years in a small town in a northern part of the country. Knowing he is based in MN, I feel that it is a small town in MN. The action, as much as there is any, focuses on a woman who has a husband and kids and is doing everything she can to make sure they have the good memories of the holiday time that she often reflects back on. Maybe her memories are not the best, but she wants the best for her family, for sure. It is a good read, well written, expressive, and I feel like it really gets to the core of a person. Take a look at his linktree and support his work. I do not think you will be disappointed.
Life in general, culture in specific: art, film, music, theatre, and book reviews. Random musings included for free. I live in the Twin Cities and love all forms of artistic expression.

A House Beneath December - Trev Cimenski
This is the first real writing I have read of Trev Cimenski. I was introduced to his work via his instagram account called "Of a hound." He posts videos of him reading his poetry, and something about his voice, his look, his words struck a chord and I want to support his work. He has this great thing going on where you can be penpals with him. He sends out a letter once a month, and sometimes you get a bonus poem, or a scrap of writing with it. I love the idea and have really enjoyed getting these physical letters once a month. They are the highlight of the month sometimes.
