Collier's Creek

I don't read a whole lot of book series...or at least I haven't until the past couple years. I especially haven't read romance series...until the past couple years. So I don't know how it goes with straight romances, but I was gifted a book named Mandatory Repairs by Elle Keaton. I realized after reading it that there are a number of books with the name Collier's Creek on it. They are written by different authors (mostly female I believe), but they are all gay romances that all take place in the same town. I find this fascinating.

As stated, the first one I read was Mandatory Repairs. Click the link and read the description. All coincidence, being attracted to the wrong person at the wrong time then realizing that maybe it is the right person after all? I found the book, like a lot of the romances I have read, to be charming, sweet, hot in all the right ways, and sometimes swoonworthy. Maybe I just need to get out more, but again it was a really fun book to read.

The second one I read in this odd multi-author series was Sheriff of the Creek by Sue Brown. This one was the same small town, and some characters you met in Mandatory Repairs but only in passing. The town seems charming but the Sheriff has his heart set on someone who works for him, and while he doesn't know it - the someone has his heart set on the Sheriff.

What I found interesting about both of these books, and some of the other romances are how each chapter are written from the other characters perspective. So you as the reader get both sides of the story/experience, while you wait for the characters to finally figure things out. I think it is a really fun way to tell a story. While I'm not sure I would actively buy the other books in the series, if they happened to be found randomly in a used bookstore...they would probably go home with me. It is a charming town, and I enjoy reading their stories.
