What an absolutely charming book. I received this as a gift and it is not my usual style of book to read. It is a fantasy romance with witches and pirates - all with a Victorian lean. I was engaged in the story right away, and the writing was very good, and fun to read. The story was a bit convoluted but it all made sense...once you got the hang of the fact that houses could be flown by pirates. It is a fantastic world that India Holton created in this book, and I hope to revisit it at some point. She is on my radar. And I know that this is a book in a trilogy, all set in the same world I believe. Either way, if I see another one of her books, I will probably grab it and give it a read. I suggest you do the same.
