Mountain Men - Casey Cox

Oh man....these two books are right up my alley. If only for the cover art - lol. The Silent Mountain Man is the first Casey Cox book I read. Another great story, unexpected love, great descriptive storytelling... A man goes back to a small town to sell his fathers house. The last time he saw this town was when he left, but he remembers sharing letters with a boy back when he was young...a boy that he may have been falling in love with. On the drive to where he is going, he gets caught in a mudslide. His car is not drivable, but lucky for him a very quiet man - tall, brawny, beard, long hair - happens to pull up and help him out. There is something familiar about this man but Eddie can't place his finger on it. Until he finds something at this strangers house and it all comes rushing back to him. A short read but really good and intense, and somewhat moving.

The next one is named The Curious Mountain Man. Two different characters, and I believe a totally different town/location. This one is about a nerdy, neurodivergent librarian who lives up in the mountains. One day he happens to come across a hunk of a man skinny dipping in the lake on his land. The rest? well...read the book. Another short read, but really sweet. There are two more books in this series so I will probably get a hold of them, and probably some other books of Cox's as they are really good stories, and a lot of fun to read.
