DIY - Dr. Eric Sprankle
The full title of the book is DIY: The Wonderfully Weird History and Science of Masturbation, and it is written by Dr. Eric Sprankle. Honestly, the title says it all. It points out some odd historical information about masturbation - like how it was viewed at certain times in history, ways that people tried to prevent people from masturbating, some of the science that they used to try to show it was a bad practice, etc. It was a really fun book to read, with some great stories and insight into this activity that almost every single person has done at least once. If you have read any books by Mary Roach, like Bonk (which makes a nice pairing with this book), or Stiff, or anything else you get a sense of how this is written. I loved it.
